Dental provision

The prerequisite for healthy, beautiful teeth is regular dental prophylaxis (professional teeth cleaning). This is because regular brushing is often not sufficient. We therefore recommend coming to our practice at regular intervals for a professional dental cleaning.

There are areas in the mouth that are difficult to reach, even if your home routine is quite thorough. Tartar can build up in these areas, which in turn leads to an increase in bacteria that can destroy the teeth (caries) and/or lead to gum disease (periodontitis).

Both caries and periodontitis can lead to additional health problems such as an increased susceptibility to general illnesses (angina, flu or bronchitis), and can in some cases lead to severe illnesses or health complications (heart attacks, strokes or premature birth). It is therefore our uppermost priority to keep your natural teeth as healthy as possible throughout life by applying preventive measures.

Professional dental cleaning also includes the removal of deposits from the surface of your teeth, which are caused by pigments that are ingested on a regular basis (such as coffee, tea, wine, cigarettes, curry) and can leave your teeth discolored.

During your professional cleaning, our specially trained prophylaxis team takes care to be gentle while cleaning your teeth. In addition, we put together a customized plan for your oral care at home and recommend a suitable interval for your cleanings.

Do your gums sometimes bleed when you brush your teeth? Act now! Based on my qualifications as a doctor of medicine and dentistry, I have a special insight into the causes and complexities of periodontal diseases.

This allows me to develop an individual risk profile with you. It does not matter if you are on medication that affects your gums or if you have a disease that involves an increased risk of periodontitis (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease). Being pregnant can also lead to significant changes in the gums. In all cases, we work closely with other physicians who offer appropriate treatments.
